This 30-year-old Laphroaig, distilled in 1985, was bottled in 2016 after ageing in bourbon casks. This 53.5% proof expression is presented as a limited edition in a beautiful box.
TASTING NOTE
- Colour : old gold with golden highlights.
- Nose : Rich, very complex. Iodised, roasted malted barley. Citrus fruits (orange, lemon). Exotic fruit (mango). Floral (peony). Camphor. Spices (pepper, cloves).
- Mouth : Full-bodied, sweet and salty. Notes of red fruit (strawberry). Peaty. Licorice. Cedar. Fresh tobacco. Remarkably balanced and complex.
- Final : Long, mellow, ashy. Ripe fruit (peach). Nuts, traces of sherry. Exceptionally fine peat.
